Often reserved for the commercial sector, this video conversion process ensures exceptional, flicker-free productions without damaging your original. Converted in real time, we avoid over compressing your film for an optimal copy normally only achieved from frame-by-frame scanning methods.
Rest assured that conversion from the MiniDV, HI-8mm and VHS-C formats will produce quality DVD copies while maintaining the source footage. In fact, we clean your tapes before they are converted so they will most likely be in better condition when returned to you!
MiniDV Cassettes to DVD Conversion
MiniDV cassettes, also known as ‘small cassettes’ and referred to as ‘S-size’ is a technology that uses the DV encoding scheme. While the MiniDV media worked well at the time, this technology has well expired. Converting these cassettes to DVD will allow for easier duplication of future copies.
HI-8mm to DVD Conversion
Once a popular format, Hi-8mm now unfortunately has no place in a digital world. Hi-8mm uses the old magnetic tape to store your video and audio. Once converted, the clarity of the transferred images is remarkable. Using white diffusers, the even distribution of light prevents heat damage and ensures optimum performance.
VHS-C to DVD Conversion
VHS-C is a compact version of the full size VHS tape that was primarily used on home camcorders. These tapes were able to be played back in standard VCR’s that utilised an adapter. Now obsolete, why not have these converted to a modern medium such as DVD? A well established process, you can sleep easy knowing that Sublime Productions will safely duplicate and return your priceless videos.
